Black Forest furniture (commonly known as "Hunt" style) was very popular in late 19th century France~~characterized by highly carved game such as rabbits, pheasants, foxes and hunting dogs~~~complemented by fruit, nut, floral, rosette, nut, ribbon accents or Gothic elements~~superb hand carvings throughout~~a fine example of the craftsmanship of the era
Original "wavy" glass in upper cabinet doors surrounded by fluted and acanthus columns and gryphon supports~~finely carved lower doors with fruit, nut and floral elements
~~Beautiful upper crown with cartouche medallion frieze and carved sides~~
Two removable/adjustable interior shelves in upper cabinet and one shelf in lower cabinet~~tons of storage~~two original working keys included
~~Two dovetailed drawers with carved vine pulls~~
