These sideboards, commonly known as "Welsh dressers", were necessities of the 18th, 19th and early 20th century English kitchen or dining room~~no pantries or other storage to speak of in the average English country home of the era~~simple and practical~~~just what you would expect to see in the downstairs kitchen or servants' dining room on Downton Abbey!
Two wide and deep drawers with fine, hand-cut dovetailed construction~~look at the original pierced brass "teardrop" hardware on this one!

CONDITION: This item is in very good condition with normal signs of age and use. Original key is included; however, old locks can be finicky and are never guaranteed. There is some loss to left upper back edge crown which is common and would be expected of a piece of this age. Multiple photos are provided that should be considered part of the description. Antiques should be purchased for craftsmanship, uniqueness, charm and character, and very few true antiques are "like new". We encourage you to ask questions prior to purchase.
