CHARMING  Antique English Oak Jacobean or Tudor Style Farmhouse or Kitchen Cottage Welsh Plate Dresser, Sideboard, Hutch or Buffet~~~c. 1900

These sideboards, commonly known as "Welsh dressers", were necessities of the 18th, 19th and early 20th century English kitchen or dining room~~no pantries or other storage to speak of in the average English country home of the era~~simple and practical~~~just what you would expect to see in the downstairs kitchen or servants' dining room on Downton Abbey!   

~~Two dovetailed drawers with original brass "batwing" pulls~~

Upper open shelves with plate grooves for proudly displaying your favorite Imari, Staffordshire or Majolica plates

~Old square pegged construction~

~~Sturdy classic English turned post legs with stretchers~~charming carved scalloped accents~~

~~PETITE size~~75.5" tall x 49" wide x 18.5" deep~~
Top shelf height is 9" T
Middle shelf height is 14" T
