These versatile tables were very popular in late Victorian era French country homes and castles~~~characterized by elaborate Renaissance Revival carvings ~~this table is extra special and sometimes referred to as a "silver chest" with two hand cut, dovetailed drawers (one divided)~~high quality table often used as hall or entry table, end table or night table
Finely carved on all 4 SIDES~~relief carved beveled edge top~~sturdy and stable thick barley twist legs and stretcher with foliate block corners and small bun feet
Outstanding quality~~would make a lovely end table between two fireside chairs, parlor, window table, or nightstand/ bed table
