Charming LARGE Antique English Oak Jacobean Welsh Plate Dresser, Sideboard, Hutch Cabinet, Server or Buffet c. 1900-1910
These pieces, commonly known as "Welsh dressers" were a necessity of the 19th and early 20th century English kitchen or dining room. There were no pantries or other storage to speak of in the average English country home of the era~~just what you would expect to see in the downstairs kitchen on Downton Abbey!
Three upper open shelves (6.5" deep) with plate grooves~~proudly display your favorite Imari, Staffordshire or Majolica plates~~6 hand-cut, dovetailed drawers and 2 lower cabinet doors for ample storage~~original brass "teardrop" pulls~~wonderful Jacobean style carvings
